For me, perfect example why not move to SPA in 2017 is Freshbooks, I'm their active user and found that their new version(introduced recently) is slow, initial load slow (very), transitions between tabs is slow etc. Personally I dont see the reason they moved to SPA (they using Ember framework which I heard very optimized in compare other frameworks(not libraries as React))
The latest version of Ember has improved performance considerably although generally it's considered slow compared to modern alternatives like Angular 2, React, Cycle, etc.
Open source it. I'v open sourced my bulk email sender for Mac https://github.com/alex3t/Bulky about year ago and after that I got more purchases, but unfortunatelly only one fork from customer who want to customize the app
Wedding planning app for Mac - Weddinglan(http://weddinglan.com) About $800 per month, but hope for more profit after next version which will include also iPad version
Point me please discussion where talking "programming experience does not matter". It's completely stupid. Who in normal mind talking about this?
Of course programming language experience does not matter but programming experience..
Programming language experience matters very much. Not least of all because it takes time to become accustomed to that language's idioms: Until you are fluent in them you are going to take longer to read others' code, you are going to write code that's harder for others to read, and thus you are ultimately writing code that is harder to maintain. And unless you are a very meticulous tester (and none of us are nearly as good at testing as we want to think we are) you are also going to write code that is more buggy because you are less aware of the quirks and gotchas that motivate many of those idioms.
Come on, what wrong with you guys? Author even removed his post. Who interested can find it in google cache: http://webcache.googleusercontent.com/search?sourceid=chrome...
Are you all like these amature websites which looks like clones? Personally I will go away from site based on unchanged Bootstrap CSS. Bootstrap as product is good but people using it wrong, the big problem 95% not change default Bootstrap theme.
I trust these guys, my asus ul20ft touchpad and keyboard is also crap,
apple laptops get a lot of bad talk about being expensive but at least they have realiable hardware.
This is my second asus laptop, the screen is average, keyboard is kinda bad touchpad is awful, i have some cracks on the plastic surrounding the screen, it was cheap but now i regret not spending more money on the computer where i do all my work.
Yes, there are many opportunities for you as indie developer. first is app store ofcource, but please read first stories from iphonedevsdk.com/forum business section about 6 months development and more then $5000 spending and $100 profit at end. Second is flash games market, you can get up to $20k per game from sponsors if you are experienced game developer or about $500 if you are unknown. Third is android market, same as ios market but less money(successful game apps more ads oriented then apps in apple marketplace)
agree. Last time when I thought about MVC was interview years ago(hope nobody today ask same questions). As Rails developer with 4 years experience, I'm not care now about these things, I'm care about product.
