Here's an easy one: working downloads on mobile. Plex offline downloads are notoriously buggy.

I don't even consider it an option anymore. I just turn to other software that sends the original file to me. It would be great to have Plex transcode my high res movies on the fly and send me smaller copies tailored for my device. I could save space on my mobile devices while having my progress synced back to Plex.

Plex offline simply does not work. If it does work, it'll stop working when you get service/connectivity. It is wild how bad it is.

Couldn't you also go out to eat from home?

Not that easy: There is actually only one restaurant near me in 5 min walk, everything else is to take bus or subway 10+ min. That exactly is the reason why im sitting in an "inefficiency hole" here - its a very "un-alive" district, unfortunately :-(

You can indeed see this behavior in action by tapping a letter and briefly swiping slightly to an adjacent letter. Maybe I’m missing something but I don’t see why the letter should be submitted on touch-up, since I’ve never intentionally tried to correct an individual letter between touch-down and touch-up.

This is a big reason I’m excited for Steam Frame - high quality VR on the Linux desktop.

AND high quality Linux desktop on the VR :)

Excellent article. In this vein, are there any books, articles, or other media that we can learn more of these sorts of principles from?

That’s quite impressive, care to share what does work for you?

I'm huge on videos + practice sets.

Khan Academy has been such a lifesaver. They not only have in-depth videos, but also have practice sets after every lesson.

AP Classroom (a platform made by College Board) is also amazing. They have videos and progress checks.

Thanks for posting these - these books look like exactly what I have been looking for recently! I'm someone who procrastinated and crammed my way through high school and undergrad level maths and then promptly forgot all of it once I finished schooling. I plan on working through them soon. Hopefully this isn't an annoying question, but do you still intend to publish a guide to statistics?

> do you still intend to publish a guide to statistics?

Yes! Very much so. I'm in the final stages of cooking it right now, hoping to make it available for sale in the coming months.

Statistics is by far the hardest subject I've had to write about, as I had to (re)learn pretty much everything. I did several rewrites (working on tis book for the past seven years!), but now it's finally ready to ship. You can check out the notebooks from the book here: https://nobsstats.com/ and a detailed outline here https://docs.google.com/document/d/1fwep23-95U-w1QMPU31nOvUn...

ETA July for digital download, then one round of copy-editing, and September for first print version.

Why must employees put in 100% effort? Where does that expectation come from? I’d be surprised if most companies put in 100% effort to support each employee.

Isn’t it all about expectations in the end? The company expects you to meet some set of goals. Conversely, you expect the company to give you benefits and payment.

Can you illuminate the legitimate reasoning behind the OP then? If you have a claim that people have the wrong idea about Trump, then why not provide some of your own evidence?

What is the delivery mechanism?
