Free Hong Kong!

I agree... I think we should be ready to evacuate Hong Kong if China sends in the military. China has built up a huge military presence nearby. Tiananmen has shown us the communist party is willing to slaughter thousands of kids to protect their power.

"thousands of kids" ohoho... Right ...

Says the account created 58 days ago, possibly coinciding with China's PR push? I'm not sure how people who support a murderous dictatorship live with themselves.

there is a GPL2 version of jdk11 here, does it make any difference?

http://jdk.java.net/11

That's an "OpenJDK" build provided by Oracle.

But it is easy to get mixed up since it doesn't ACTUALLY say "OpenJDK" on that page.

All the links say and point to OpenJDK if you hover over them. It doesn't seem that obscure.

One would expect that the page provided by Oracle from which one could download OpenJDK would have the word "OpenJDK" in a header in 16+ point font-- and not visible only in link hover text box.

It's just weird.

nothing lasts in china, even communism

To be fair, communism doesn't last anywhere.

To be fair, it's never been tried. At the time the only country that could do it was Germany. Now, most of the Western world would probably work. China couldn't meet the requirements so they hacked the ideas to fit an agrarian system and nearly killed them selves in the process. Perhaps they should try now.

Russia by the 1980s was a industrialized nation, and no, it continued to not work.

They already had the old hacked institutions from the bolshevik. Russia never tried reform. China has a history of changing policy.

I'm not saying this will work. In fact I don't think it will. I'm just saying if anyone want to try it and have the will to do it, it could be China.

Communism wouldn't work in Germany, either, unless by "work" you mean turn the country into Venezuela without the oil.

is this spam? the page will try to you force you "like" or "share" their page on Facebook

aapl = pretentious

americans think they rule the world? it's out of your "jurisdiction" and they are only acting according to their laws! not yours.
