But that increases the risk that you share information by mistake (either yours or google+) with the wrong group.
That is why people (should) have different email for private and business use. That is why I have facebook and linkedin accounts. It is very unlikely that I will upload my party pics to linkedin ;)
Certainly, that's understandable. People will still be stupid, but at that point, it's a people problem rather than a tech problem .It may just be that I grok it, but I don't forsee any problem at all separating the kinds of content I post.
Difficult. Basically Firefox XUL allows extensions to do everything that is not forbidden, while the Chrome allows only things that have an explicit API function for it.
This is the main thing that's keeping me from using Chrome more often - apparently the extensions cannot modify the UI of the browser, which means I lose a lot of customizations. For eg., an extension like Tree Style Tab (https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/tree-style-ta...) is apparently not even possible.
EXACTLY my setup. Just compare how much more powerful "iMacros for Firefox" is compared to "iMacros for Chrome" (web browser macro recorder). Same for Firebug. The chrome API has still too many restrictions to make truly useful "system level" addons.
I get a "This webpage is not availableThe server at www.youtube.com...". That looks unprofessional.
Get some free website monitoring at alertfox or pingdom.
This will not solve your main problem, but having a reliable website is a prerequisite for any success. For many users, especially website owners - your customers - such a "bug" makes the website look abandoned.
Very true, so we ran multiple tests using trial registrations and subscriptions as the conversion metric as well. The aim being to optimise each step of the funnel plus overall subscriptions as well.
Good for him, this will help him convince the authorities at
(a) He is a "nice" guy
(b) As sign of their appreciation, they might block quora at least sporadically.
I don't know, but I would think that top chinese VC have a personal relationship (dinner invitations, red envelopes etc) with whoever is in charge of the great firewall.
Thank you. Yes this space is definitely very busy. Ping Brigade started as a way for me to do my own monitoring. Pingdom has a lot of features and is huge, but they are also more expensive. I also do not like their interface: they ask too many questions. But getting traffic has been challenging: the CPC for things like "web monitoring" is in the $6-9 range.
That is a good point. But FWIW I personally know several "shareware" developers that told me the same story with their own products. The bottom line is always: $9.99 = bargain bin pricing. Good converting prices start at $29.95 and up for productivity software.
