Also Discord's iOS app is built with ReactNative, and it is a pretty feature rich application, seems like it works for those use it.

They have lots of money but without carrying the cost of maintaining an active hardware product line. Unless you count Oculus for Facebook and a few minor things for Microsoft but those are in the noise.
