Great resource; it would be nice if each board record could be updated with a list of the sellers, each one with stock and prices. That could be a service many sellers would probably pay a small quid for, ultimately helping to support the site.
Also, take a look at the following list, which is updated at least yearly.
- Keyword search appears to only look at model. For example searching for "Nvidia" returns no results but searching for "Jetson" does.
- Clicking the "None (409)" option in the Form Factor filter returns no results. Perhaps that's because the form factor is listed as "Unknown" on their individual pages.
Good idea. I've been looking for something like this for a bit. Nice to see the Star64 already included.
One big problem I ran into while using the Pi a few years ago is that the USB bus was shared with Ethernet bus and it caused massive problems for anyone doing anything intensive with either of those. I wish I could filter out issues like that without having to do a deep-dive on each SBC before purchasing (I noticed at least one more SBC on the list I've had hardware issues with).
Defining shared busses is not an easy thing to solve though sadly. ideally you can just get a nice block diagram for each board but we also don't have the data for that.
I wish ARM hardware was more standard. You can take essentially any x86 machine, install a generic Linux, *BSD, Windows, etc image on it, and expect most hardware to work - sometimes audio is a bit weird in my experience. It feels like we're still far from that with ARM.
Neat! May try grabbing a few things to add to my "podunk, heterogenous compute cluster that I'll probably snap and try to make a scheduler for some day...
Another useful data point would be OS support and availability - official and/or community versions, last release date, number of releases, etc.
