I was going over the top because gp is insinuating a moral argument rather than a health argument based on their interpretation of a bad headline. Cannabis Use Disorder is not the same as occasionally puffing a doobie with Alice on the weekend.

> Caffeine starts off as a physical addiction unlike marijuana. Caffeine also does not require a lot of use from the substance in order to become physically addicted, unlike marijuana. When both substances are consumed in large amounts both have equally terrible withdrawal effects.

And aside from the jitters, what harm does caffeine cause?

Does it cause break downs in families and car fatalities like alcohol?

Does it trigger latent schizophrenia in susceptible individuals like canabis?

Does it create zombies like whatever it is they're consuming in San Fran?

Caffeine does cause insomnia which in turn causes other mental healh problems.

I have one cup of coffee in the morning but there was a time when I was having 4-5 cups and it was affecting my healh negatively.

So does artificial light, probably more drastically than an afternoon caffeine.

But is there a well established causal chain of coffee drinkers hurting others from their coffee induced insomnia mental breakdown?

If you had read my comment and wanted to engage, the answer was right there:

> physical addiction.. withdrawal

You want to compare a day with a bad headache from caffeine withdrawal to the devastation caused by schizophrenia? To car crashes?

And who are coffee's non-using victims? Co-workers putting up with Mr. Grouchie for a day or two?
